After beginning a vegan diet as a result of heart disease in my family (my dad and my husband), I’ve heard over and over how other people “could never be vegan” and that they either have “bad genes” (and therefore no control over getting healthier anyway) or “good genes” (and therefore no need to get any healthier anyway).
At a heart health conference at the Cleveland Clinic in March, I learned that our lifestyle choices, including exercise, spiritual or relaxation practices and food, all play an important role in whether certain “bad genes” will express themselves OR NOT.
The blog post by Doctor Jonathan gives us the details. I thought it was very well done. Please pay a visit!
